Learn to Skate

Beginner Hockey Class
|
Youth Learn to Skate and Beginner Hockey Class starts the first Friday of every month and will run for 4 consecutive weeks. These classes are month to month and continue year round.
Learn to Skate
Children will learn the basics of skating, including balance, proper stance, forward movement and development of good technique. No equipment is provided, bring your own in-line skates, helmet (bike helmet OK), wrist, elbow, and knee guards.
Beginner Hockey Class
This four week class teaches the basic fundamentals of roller hockey and is open to children age 4-12yrs.
Learn to skate, shoot, pass, and stick handle. Mandatory equipment: H.E.C.C. approved helmet w/ cage, elbow pads, gloves, knee/shin guards, stick and skates. A limited amount of equipment is available to rent at an additional cost of $10 through the center. Please contact the center prior to the class to reserve equipment.

Membership may be paid in this section and the waiver must be signed and submitted prior to play.
949 Annual Membership includes AAU Membership, which is mandatory for ALL AAU Sanctioned Events.

Our Adult program varies from Beginner to Advanced Levels. If you have a team looking for more competitiion The 949 is the place to be. With over 10 different divisions you'll find the best competition here.
Individuals are also welcome. If you are looking to get placed onto a team, sign up for the next season and you will be placed on the free agent list. Our leagues are first come first serve, so reserve your spot today.

The Beginner Hockey League is designed to be the next step after the Friday Beginner Hockey Class.
Ages are 4 to 7yrs of age.
Players must be able to stand with skates under their own power and be able to skate from one point to another.
This class will help provide the skills to prepare a hockey player for the Youth Recreation Leagues.

Classes will be free of charge if the player purchases the $199 Complete Equipment Package, available in The 949 Pro Shop. |

The Youth Recreation League is the developmental league where you can receive professional training in the sport of Roller Hockey. From beginner to advanced levels, you will learn the proper fundamentals to ensure quick results in your progression of roller hockey. With a coaching staff of over 100 years combined experience, the only result is better hockey players.
Games for Mite, Squirt, PeeWee, & Bantam will be played on Saturday. Atom Sundays
